Valley Football Center Groundbreaking Ceremony

A momentous step in a transformational project occurred Saturday prior to Oregon State Football’s final home game of the 2015 season. An intimate groundbreaking ceremony was held in the north end zone for the Valley Football Center Expansion Project.

Those in attendance, which included leadership captains to the Victory through Valley fundraising campaign, senior University, Foundation and Athletics leaders, and current student-athletes, witnessed the next phase of this project.

Approximately 37,870 square feet of space will be added to the facility and 25, 830 square feet of space will be renovated. The locker room alone will be 53 yards wide, which is the entire width of the end zone. The renovated building will house nutrition/performance table for all 500 OSU student-athletes, football operations, athletic training/sports medicine and football Hall of Fame. Originally built in 1990, the Valley Football Center was the first football dedicated building in the Pac-12 (then Pac-10) Conference.

Fundraising continues and if you are interested in joining the many whom have already pledged their support of this project, please call the Our Beaver Nation office at 541-737-2370.
