Beavers without Borders | Dominican Republic
OSU Athletics Returns to Dominican Republic in 2016
Initiated in 2011, Beavers without Borders is a program that offers global service-learning experiences for student-athletes at Oregon State University. The program has successfully completed six service projects including trips to Guatemala, Macedonia, Ethiopia, and most recently the Dominican Republic. Throughout those trips, over 75 student-athletes were able to experience life in a distinct culture, learn about the impact of their work on a community and interact outside of the university context to maximize the intercultural experience.
Beavers without Borders will embark on a community food project in the Dominican Republic for the June 2016 trip. Fifteen student-athletes from multiple sports will get to take part in the experience of a lifetime impacting lives globally.
To sponsor the trip ($20,000) or a student-athlete ($2,500), please contact Lindsay Meiggs at 541-737-3361.
Donations to Beavers without Borders are tax deductible.
